What Vetlio is
Vetlio is a tool that helps pet owners understand their pet's blood work results in plain, clear language. We use AI to explain lab values and flag anything worth discussing with your veterinarian. Vetlio is not a medical diagnostic tool and does not replace professional veterinary advice.
What we collect
When you use Vetlio we collect: • Your email address and account credentials (managed securely by Supabase) • Pet profile information you enter (name, species, breed, age, weight) • Blood work files you upload (PDFs or images) • Health check data you log (body condition score, weight, hydration, gum color) • Usage data such as the pages you visit and features you use
How we use your information
We use your information to: • Analyze your pet's blood work using OpenAI's API and return results to you • Save your pet's history so you can track trends over time • Send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, waitlist updates) • Improve Vetlio over time, including building new features like imaging analysis and tools for veterinary professionals We do not use your pet's data to train AI models. Blood work files are processed and the extracted text is sent to OpenAI for analysis. We do not store the raw text permanently beyond what's needed to display your results.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Ever. We share data only with the services needed to run Vetlio: • Supabase: authentication and database hosting • OpenAI: AI analysis of blood work text • Resend: transactional email delivery • Vercel: frontend hosting • Render: backend hosting Each of these services has their own privacy policy and security practices.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely in Supabase. Each user's data is isolated; you can only access your own pets and results. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Your rights
You can: • Update or delete your pet profiles at any time from within the app • Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@vetlio.app • Ask us what data we hold about you We will respond to data requests within 30 days.
Children
Vetlio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Vetlio grows. We'll notify users of significant changes by email. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
